Center of Excellence Assessment

By Jennifer Ferrero

Yesterday in Everett, at the Center of Excellence, an assessment was held by the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges and industry representatives. They were interested to learn about our work, activities, challenges and how we are meeting industry training needs.

Mary Kaye Bredeson, Executive Director gave a presentation regarding a recent survey to stakeholders. The survey was sent out to about 80 people with a 40% return rate. The survey was indicative of success within the organization due to the positive responses surrounding relationships, outreach, communication, tools development and more.

Overall the assessment went well and the COE received some action items. The State Board and the other assessors were overall very positive and offered good feedback for the growth of the organization.
