STEM-Tastic Event – big dreams for young girls

Sue Bradshaw, program manager with the Center of Excellence attended the STEMTASTIC event at the Museum of Flight in Seattle on Saturday, March 8.stemtastic_031314This day was tailored for families to not only tour the museum and see all of their great exhibits, but it also provided an opportunity for area organizations to promote their STEM activities.

Bradshaw represented not only the Center of Excellence but also volunteered at the Pacific Northwest Girls Collaborative Project table. At this table, Sue was able to interact with students and encourage them to draw or write “what they want to be or do when they get older” on the PNWCGP’s Dream Wall, but she was also able to talk to parents about career pathways associated with aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
