11th Annual PNAA Aerospace Conference

The Center of Excellence is attending the 11th annual Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance Conference being held February 6th-8th at the Lynnwood Convention Center. PNAA’s Conference is the premier aerospace conference here in the Puget Sound area. This year’s theme “Riding the Production Wave” is quite appropriate given the huge amount of new orders for planes that Boeing and Airbus have received over the last couple of months. As always, Richard Aboulafia, Vice President-Analysis, Teal group gave an enlightening overview and forecast of the defense aviation and civil aviation markets, including a review of the current status of programs and outlook for market growth for both industries. On Tuesday, Boeing’s Annual Supplier update, noted that the global nature of Boeing’s supply chain, competitors and customers has created “higher expectations for performance in quality, cost and delivery.”  One particular aspect of the conference that we look forward to are the Scholarship awards that PNAA presents to students. This year there were 15 scholarship awards given out to students who are enrolled in aerospace programs with local colleges. The Center of Excellence is a proud sponsor of the annual PNNA Conference and we are always eager to attend and take advantage of the networking opportunities with industry and people from around the world.
